Swimming is widely considered to be one of the best, if not the best, full body exercise you can perform, using nearly every major muscle in your body during its course.

With swimming doing such a great job of exercising many different parts of the body, this naturally leads to the question of whether it also has the potential to increase height, as we know that exercise is one of the key methods used when attempting to grow taller.

Better living standards lead to humans growing taller, according to new research.

The research also shows that while the Scots used to be taller than the English 200 years ago, they are now shorter.

Professor Bernard Harris, from the University of Southampton, is one of the authors of the study which has examined links between nutrition and economic development with height.

Did you know that it’s possible to instantly appear to be inches taller simply by changing your wardrobe? By cleverly organizing the visual elements of your clothes, you can manipulate the way your body is perceived and make yourself appear to be taller than you actually are. Here’s a few simple tips to get you started:

  • Avoid clothes with horizontal lines. Belts are horizontal so make sure you  conceal it in your clothes.
  • Avoid clothes with a tartan or checked pattern.
  • Wear clothes with vertical lines or striping. Vertical lines make a person appear thinner, and thinness in turn gives the impression of more height.
  • Avoid wearing sharply contrasting clothes and pants together, these will easily expose the real length of your legs and make you look shorter.
  • Wear shoes that make you appear taller. If you’re a female, this should be easy since you can find a lot of shoes with 2 or 3 inch heels. For males, wear shoes with thick soles to add the illusion of height.
  • Avoid clothes that are made from heavy and bulky fabric. They add width and hence shorten the image visually

How to Grow TallerLearning how to grow taller naturally isn’t as difficult as many people tend to believe it is. In fact, it’s a sad fact that most people tend to believe that it’s impossible to increase height after the body’s growth period has concluded but that’s simply not the case. The human body is a remarkably resilient organism that is capable of reacting in an extremely positive manner to focused, outside stimuli – such as what is outlined in this guide. By concentrating on the body’s naturally-reactive state with specific, focused actions, it is entirely possible to teach your body how to grow taller naturally, safely and effectively.

Grow Taller During Correct Posture MonthWhat better time to learn how to grow taller than during National Correct Posture Month? Unhealthy or otherwise “bad” posture can rob your stature of up to 3 inches or more of your natural height. But incorrect posture is not typically alleviated simply by “standing up straight” (though that does help).

Most of the time, however, by making an effort to improve the way that you naturally tend to stand, sit, and conduct your day-to-day activities (such as what was outlined in the last post “Stay Taller with Good Posture“) along with adequate grow taller exercises can go a long way in improving your posture and overall height.

Make an effort to improve your posture by making sensible decisions in your daily activities and you will be much farther along than 99% of other people in your journey to get taller.

Stay Taller with Good PostureIf you spend any amount of time working, researching, or playing at a computer then you are at serious risk of killing any height gain you are getting through grow taller exercises or even with the comprehensive how to grow taller guide, the Grow Taller Book.

If you don’t maintain good posture, your “real” height can be diminished by up to three full inches whether you have increase height methods or not. And one of the worst culprits that is robbing your height is the way that you sit at your computer.

There’s no way that you can expect to grow taller if you are sacrificing your height increasing goals each and every day by slouching at the computer for several hours a day. But there’s so much more to it than that.

Stay taller by following these simple guidelines: [click to continue…]

Why Do You Want to Grow Taller? It may seem like a silly question, but it isn’t. I talk to many people every single week that want to grow taller and I generally ask this question of all of them. It’s certainly not because I’m trying to talk them out of growing taller. It’s because I want to make sure that they want to learn how to grow taller for healthy reasons, and not for reasons that may not be so healthy.

Learning how to get taller for most people is a choice that they make because they want to make what they believe is a positive change in their body, the same way a person that is unhappy with his or her weight may decide to get in better shape or the same way that a guy that wants to be more muscular may hit the gym.
