Are Taller People Really Happier? The Polls Say “Yes!”

by Hayden Carter

I recently came across a Gallup survey that suggests that, on average, taller people certainly appear to be happier.

On a scale of 0 to 10, people were asked to rate their general happiness with life. 0 being worst and 10 being best. Both men and women were tested.

Interestingly, shorter men were not only reporting that they are generally less happy but also report that they suffer from increased physical pain than their taller counterparts. Also, women seem to be less concerned with their heights than men, no matter how tall or short they are. This seems to reinforce the indication that height is much less of a factor in women’s lives than it is for men.

It also reiterates the importance that society (and women) place on a man’s height. Is it fair? No, but little in life is, wouldn’t you agree?

As per almost all of such studies that compare heights over a large sample size, the study shows that taller people make more money, are more likely to be happily married, and less likely to be dependent on harmful substances such as cigarettes, drugs, or alcohol.

Learning how to grow taller is certainly not the be-all, end-all key to happiness, but if you feel that your height (or lack of) is holding you back in life, then it may be something to consider. The healthiest approach is to address the specific aspects of your life that you want to improve. For instance, if you’re unhappy in your relationships, an added three inches of height is not going to do anything for you. You’ll just be taller and unhappy in your relationships. The same is true if you are unhappy in your career. Being taller doesn’t necessarily equate to happiness.

However, if you want to be taller because you want to be taller, then the Grow Taller Book can help. It comes with an unconditional guarantee that you will stand at least an inch or more taller within 60 days if you follow the program or you get your money back, guaranteed. I do not, however, promise that you will become a millionaire or that you will be dating a supermodel during that time. That part is up to you.

I can definitely see how there is a correlation between height and happiness. But just like you said, its not necessarily the height that makes many people happier – it’s the increased income, respect, and success in dating and relationships that comes from being a taller and generally more confident man.

There are short, confident men, of course. However, there are not as many of them as there are tall and confident men. I like that you do take the time to point out that the height gained from the grow taller book will give you the height, but the rest is up to the person – height alone won’t make you happier – its what you do with it.

Thanks again for being the only straight-forward and HONEST resource on the ‘net about height increase! I’m so glad I found this site and the grow taller book when I did. It’s been a Godsend!

Thanks for the thought-out response, Stephen! I agree 100%. I try my best to inform everyone that reads the Grow Taller Blog and everyone that purchases the Grow Taller Book that while it will increase your height, it won’t necessarily change your life…that’s for them to do for themselves.

Also, it is entirely possible for someone to be happy at their current height, no matter how tall they are. Confidence doesn’t come from height (though it sometimes helps), it comes from within!

Increase your height because you want to increase your height. Focus on your confidence and your happiness to increase your confidence and happiness. Fortunately, its entirely possible to do all of them at the same time!
