An inversion table is often used for therapeutic purposes to alleviate back pain due to day-to-day spinal compression caused by gravity or even as therapy to alleviate back pain caused by trauma such as an accident.
But you can use this machine to your advantage to grow taller as well.
An inversion table allows you to safely suspend yourself upside down for short periods of time. It’s not recommended that you hang this way for a prolonged period.
When you are suspended this way, the weight of your body is taken off of your spine and tugs downward due to gravity so that it actually begins to help align your spinal column in a more optimized manner. When your spine is free from the weight of your body, it begins to straight but it also helps flex and strengthen the spongy cartilage that resides between your spine’s vertebrae.
It’s this spongy cartilage that you want to keep healthy, flexible, and strong by utilizing stretching and other types of exercise techniques as well as a diet that is high in calcium, protein, and omega fatty acids. The more this cartilage remains healthy, the more optimized your spine remains, adding to your overall height.
But simply hanging is not enough to make you grow taller. Like other forms of grow taller exercises, using an inversion table doesn’t work as a “stand alone” option but is a fantastic addition to your overall grow taller regimen.

I’ve been using an inversion table ever since I read your advice on using them in the grow taller book last year and i know that its helped me grow a couple of inches and makes my back feel soooooo much better.
Glad to hear that you’re getting good use out of yours and I’m REALLY stoked to hear about your height success! I know that I can’t live without my inversion table now. I use it several times a day because it’s so relaxing. Sometimes I have trouble not dozing off!
Isn’t it really helps to increase your height? And how long do I have to hang myself up like that in a day?
You only have to hang for a few minutes a day – certainly no more than half an hour – and you’d have to build up to that more than likely. It takes a bit of getting used to for some people but its well worth it.
Yes, it really does work but it’s important to remember that in order to get the absolute most benefit from inversion, you need to include it in a complete, concise regimen of height increasing exercises such as found in the Grow Taller Book.
