Are You Embarrassed Of Your Short Legs And Long Torso?

Height Increase Surgery

If you are short, it’s possible that you have short legs and a long torso.

If you’re looking around at everyone else’s body, you have already decided that the bodies you admire are ones that have long legs and a torso that is in proportion to the body.

Once this thought registers in your mind, it’s a matter of time before you will start thinking that your body is inferior. When the inferiority thoughts start to occur, you have three possible choices to make:

1. Stop Comparing Your Body To Other People’s Bodies

We always get in trouble when we start comparing our body or ourselves in any way to other people. Comparing makes us set up ourselves as either superior to someone else or inferior to someone else.

In a way, comparing ourselves is judgmental – and that old adage of judge not that you be not judged is pretty true. If you judge others, you will be judged by others. You attract others.

If you say, “Well, I’m making others superior to me because they have xyz and I have short legs and a long torso. I’m not condemning them,” you are right.

Jealousy Leads To Other Problems

You aren’t condemning them but you are still judging them and you’re walking a fine line of jealousy. Jealousy will never win you friends!

Jealousy Hatred

Once jealousy sets in, it can bring in its friends of competitiveness, bitterness and hatred.

Think about it this way: what would it be like to get to the age of 65 and still be mad that you aren’t taller? Would you have wasted any precious time in life?

Would you have ruined any friendships along the way because of this “chip on your shoulder”? Would the comparing your body to other bodies have then led to the thoughts about other things you don’t like about others?

Would you then start comparing their income to yours and become dissatisfied with those who have more money? Would you start envying those who have a beautiful house?

How about those who have a beautiful spouse? Or even those who have beautiful children?

Short HeightComparison Leads To Unhappiness

Comparison thoughts pave the way to an unhappy life. It’s possible that those who are short and are depressed are depressed for this very reason.

You may even think that it’s not fair for you to be short and someone else to be tall. If so, what do you have that other people don’t have.

Focusing on what you don’t have is another entry point for dissatisfaction in life and lack of gratitude.

Thanking the Creator for what you have every day before you go to bed is the best way to sleep soundly and wake up refreshed in the morning.

You have the option to see people for who they are – not as those you despise because their body is perfectly proportionate.

The worst thing about comparison is that it ends up in self-bitterness and self-hatred. You end up turning against yourself because you were jealous of what other people had. So do give it some serious thought.

2. Use Clothing To Camouflage The Short Legs And Long Torso

Clothing and personal style experts are very savvy at how to give your body the appearance of having longer legs and an average torso. For example, you can add heels. Heels always give the appearance of longer legs.

Dress Look TallerAnother example is where the horizontal line of the clothing falls. For example, if the outfit has a dropped waistline, this lengthens the perception of how long the torso is.

If the waistline of the garment falls at the actual waistline or is a high waistline, then you won’t see the short legs-long torso syndrome. Your eye will be directed elsewhere.

Become savvy in how to dress to make your body appear in the best light. It’s something everyone should do.

3. Save Your Money For Height-Increasing Surgery

It’s not the 1990s anymore when height-increasing surgery was in its infancy. In China alone, over 3000 height-increasing surgical procedures have already been performed.

This makes sense, since the average height of people in China is lower than that of those countries with the tallest people.

However, the surgical procedure is quite costly, and you may have to pay $100,000 or more for it. This doesn’t include any follow-up consultations and consultations if complications arise.

By the way, in height-increasing surgery, the tibia and fibula bones are cut in half and a device is inserted which keeps the bones apart so you can gain two inches.

Height Increase Surgery

You would have to expect to be off your feet for a good four months, and there will be some pretty extensive rehabilitation time. So unless you are financially set, then consider this NOT an option.

Can you really afford the loss of time at work?

Actually, you could combine options 1 and 2 together to beat the short legs – long torso issue, or even all three options until you finally get the height-increasing surgery.
